Course backgrounds This course is intended for users and/or people interested in the sheet pile wall design program MSheet. During this course participants will learn how to use MSheet for quick and efficient design of sheet-pile walls according to the EuroCode 7. The course is a mixture of lectures and hands-on computer exercises. In addition, this course pays attention to the modelling aspects important for safe sheet pile wall design.
Objectives of this course
- To learn to use MSheet as a design tool for sheet pile wall design in several practical examples;
- To design sheet pile wall constructions according to the Eurocode7;
- To learn the theoretical backgrounds of sheet pile wall design;
- To train the backgrounds learned in hands-on exercises.
Course subjects
- How to model multiple building phases;
- How to model underwater concrete;
- How to design a sheet pile wall according to the Eurocode7;
- Learn the most powerful design options included in the Eurocode7;
- Using pre-stressed anchors/struts;
- Modelling of water pressure;
- Modelling of combined walls/ Berliner walls;
- Modelling of horizontally loaded piles;
- Modelling of soil profile from CPT data.
This course is intended for those
- Who are involved in the design of retaining walls, with little or no experience in using MSheet;
- Consulting companies, public works bodies and universities.

Duration and time One day course from 9:30 tot 17:00 hrs.

Transportation: From Schiphol Airport a train is leaving for Leiden Central Station every 20 minutes. Here you have to change trains to Delft Central Station (total travelling time approximately 45 minutes). Take a taxi to your hotel or the course location.
